Comox-Powell ferry cancelled due to high winds

LITTLE RIVER, B.C- The ferry between Comox and Powell River is cancelled tonight.

Due to the high winds, the 7;10 p.m. sailing and the 8:45 p.m. sailing of the Salish Raven have been cancelled. The sailing will be tomorrow morning at 6:15 a.m. from Little River, depending on the weather.

“The safety of our passengers and crew is of primary importance to us,” read a notice from the ferry service.

“We don’t take the decision to cancel sailings lightly, as we know customers rely on us to get to their destinations. We will resume service as soon as it is safe to do so. We appreciate your patience and apologize for any inconvenience experienced as a result of this cancellation.”
