LITTLE RIVER, B.C- The ferry between Powell River and Comox has been cancelled this afternoon.
According to BC Ferries, the 3:25 p.m. sailing from Little River was cancelled due to high winds, which also impacts the 5:15 p.m. return sailing from Powell River.
“The safety of our passengers and crew is of primary importance to us,” read a notice from the ferry service.
“We don’t take the decision to cancel sailings lightly, as we know customers rely on us to get to their destinations. We appreciate your patience and apologize for any inconvenience experienced as a result of this cancellation.”
No other cancellations have been announced as of this publication.
