Firefighters respond to smoke smell at Whistle Stop Pub

Courtenay firefighters made a stop at the Whistle Stop Pub and Liquor Store this afternoon.

Fire chief Don Bardonnex said fire crews responded to a call of a smell of smoke at the pub on Mansfield Drive at roughly 4 p.m.

Firefighters investigated the building, including its roof, but didn’t find anything out of the ordinary.
