COURTENAY, B.C. – Fire investigators are looking into a blaze that damaged a Courtenay thrift store.
At around 1:00 a.m. on Sunday morning, the Courtenay Fire Department responded to a call of a fire at Too Good To Be Threw on 6th Street.
Smoke and flames were seen coming from the building, and crews were able to knock down the blaze quickly.
The building suffered heavy smoke damage all along the front, and its glass windows were blackened.
The back alley behind the building was taped off, with firefighting foam spread out over the loading dock. Duncan and 6th Street was also blocked off by the regional library.
The cause of the fire is still unknown and is under investigation.
