Flood damage pegged at 140K

Last year’s flooding caused a lot of damage in the city of Courtenay. And some business owners are frustrated about how things were handled in the state of emergency. This according to Courtenay mayor Larry Jangula.

Jangula says although the situation was very frustrating, the community banded together and the emergency was handled well.

Overall, damage costs from the flood were estimated at 140 thousand dollars.
