Good turnout at Coldest Night of the Year in Comox Valley, Campbell River

NORTHERN VANCOUVER ISLAND, B.C. – Residents from the Comox Valley and Campbell River came out to support those in need in their communities.

Initial numbers show that for the walk in Courtenay, 429 people came out to walk, with 69 teams in total. The goal was to raise $75, 000, but walkers raised $85, 068.

In Campbell River, there were 25 teams and roughly 130 walkers. Initial numbers show that walkers in Campbell River raised nearly $19, 000 for the Campbell River and North Island Transition Society.
