Plenty of feedback from Comox residents on the proposed residential and commercial development set to be built on the site of the old Lorne Hotel in the downtown core, if Council gives the final go ahead.
Some residents called for more of a nautical theme on the project, with more character, to compliment the downtown area. Mayor Paul Ives says the developer is revamping the design right now.
Ives says a public hearing on the project will likely be held around mid February, which will include a multi-story condo complex and bistro.
The Town of Comox is hoping the proposed development will be a catalyst for downtown revitalization.
