Four people have been taken to hospital after a serious two vehicle crash on highway 19-A North of Sayward.
A BC Emergency Health Services Spokesperson says one person was flown to Campbell River Hospital in a helicopter with critical injuries, and three others were taken to Campbell River Hospital by ambulance in serious condition.
Highway 19 remains closed in both directions 13 kilometers North of the junction with Sayward Road and Drive BC expects it will be reopened at 5 p.m.
A major RCMP investigation continues on scene.
