COURTENAY B.C- An online tracker will help keep up with building developments in Courtenay.
The municipal government has introduced an easier way for residents to keep up with building development applications.
The Online Development Application Tracker was introduced on March 19th and will give residents easy access to a wide range of documents including:
-Development variance permits
-Zoning bylaw amendments
-Official community plan amendments
-Board of Variance applications
Ian Buck, the City’s Director of Development Services says this new application will make things significantly easier for people to see what is getting built.
“Until now, people interested in learning about development applications typically had to visit City Hall to see documents and background materials,” said Buck.
“Now they’ll be able to easily review this information from their desktop PC or smartphone.”
The tracker includes maps, the application progress and current status, as well as any documents on file for the application, such as floor plans, landscape plans, and project descriptions.
The tracker can be found on the city’s website here, www.courtenay.ca/devapptracker.
