Courtenay river death deemed not suspicious: police

COURTENAY, BC- The man found in Courtenay river on Wednesday is dead.

Earlier this week firefighters and paramedics got a call that someone needed help getting a man out of the water.

When emergency service arrived under the 5th Street bridge paramedics and officers took over CPR.

The man was then taken to hospital.

According to the RCMP his death has been determined non-suspicious.

The BC Coroners Service is investigating.
