Good city asset management a positive for everyone!

Practicing good asset management is a positive for everyone in the community. That’s the basis of what the city of Courtenay’s CAO David Allen had to say at council this week. Goat News was there to find out exactly why you want to practice good asset management.

He says that city assets and infrastructure supports services, and that whatever condition they’re in affects how the city delivers those services. Courtenay mayor Larry Jangula weighs in.

Jangula added that his main concern is that the city isn’t doing enough paving. He says that if the infrastructure isn’t maintained, it just gets more expensive and much more has to be done to do it well.
