Chris Anderson captures BFL Welterweight title!

Comox Valley’s very own Chris Anderson is the new BFL Welterweight Champion! Training out of the Comox Valley Boxing & Mixed Martial Arts Club, Andersen laid waste to Perry Hayer, delivering a flurry of punches that forced the ref to stop the fight at the 1:49 mark of the second round. The new champ is 7-2 in the Battlefield Fight League.

Anderson had to cut over 20 pounds for this fight but with 10 fights under his belt, he had it down to a science. He weighed in at 169.0, down from the 187.5 he had been. Hayer weighed in at 169.1 for the 170-pound division title fight.
