HMCS Quadra access road construction notice

This notice from 19 Wing Comox…

Construction on HMCS Quadra Access road at the far end of Goose Spit has commenced. Work is being conducted by 1 Construction Engineering Regiment from 3rd Canadian Division, Garrison Edmonton.

The mobilization of equipment began Thursday afternoon and will continue today. Construction will be underway at the site for 30 days.

Please be advised there will be increased traffic, and heavy equipment working in the area as well as transiting along the road at Goose Spit leading to HMCS Quadra. Beachcombers walking along the beach adjacent Quadra are to take precaution and avoid the construction site, particularly if walking pets.

As a reminder to the public, HMCS Quadra is Department of Defence property and access is restricted.
