RCMP searching for suspect after early-morning robbery on Ryan Road

COURTENAY, B.C- The Comox Valley RCMP are looking for a suspect in a Ryan Road robbery.

According to a news release from the detachment, the robbery took place around 4:35 a.m. on Friday morning, at a business in the 500 block of Ryan Road. Frontline officers went to the scene and the surrounding area to search for the suspect, who had fled before they got there.

The suspect had his face covered, while wearing a high visibility jacket. He was tall, with a thin build, and walked with a slight hunch and his head tilted sideways. There was no weapon seen during the robbery.

The detachment’s Major Crime Unit is still gathering evidence in the area, with the assistance of the bike unit and the forensic section.
