COURTENAY B.C – The Stage 4 restrictions began on Friday, and plan to wrap up by Monday, April 22th.

Marc Rutten, the general manager of the CVRD’s Engineering Services Branch says as of right now, the repair is moving along nicely.

“Over the weekend we were able to enter the pipe and begin the repair work on repairing the leak, that work has progressed well over the weekend and we are on schedule.”

He also said they hope to finish before the 22th, but for now they are sticking to the current timeline.

“No changes yet, we are definitely on track, and we are hoping to improve on that schedule, but right now were still asking the community to abide by the water restrictions for the 10 day period.”

The restrictions were put in place because the CVRD needs to repair an emergency water line in the system.
