School District 71 looking for public input in strategic plan for 2019-2023

COMOX VALLEY, BC- School District 71 is looking for public input on their new strategic plan.

Every four years the school board puts together a new plan involving; the boards message and goals, new education aspects, community involvement, indigenous education and organization/ sustainability.

The plan follows the new election of a new board of education.

There will be two public consultations that the public will be able to attend.

The first meeting will be Tuesday, April 23, 1:30-4:30pm.

The second meeting is on Monday, April 29, 6-8:30pm.

Both will be held in the school board District 71 office in the board room.

Only 25 people will be able to attend each session.

The 25 person limit is due to the nature of the sessions, and the amount of sessions being held will increase if there is significant public interest.

To register email Debra Page at [email protected] or you may phone the School Board Office at 250-334-5528.

Community members can provide their input through an online survey if they are not able to go to one of the meetings.

This will give the public a chance to share what they think the new strategic plan should look like for 2019-2023.
