Hunt Road closure expected Thursday

COURTENAY, B.C – Motorists in Courtenay should expect some traffic delays Thursday as crews work to upgrade water services in the area.

According to the city of Courtenay, a section of Hunt Road (off Ryan Road) near the Chances Casino will be closed Thursday, from 8:00 a.m until approximately 4:00 p.m for water service upgrades.

Traffic control personnel will be on site to assist all commuters.

During the closure, access to Hunt Road will be from Back Road or Tunner Drive.

The city says the work should only take one day, and thanks residents for their patience during the necessary infrastructure work.
