17th Street Bridge opening up on Sunday evening

COURTENAY, B.C- Drivers in the Comox Valley should expect a delay on Sunday evening.

According to a notice from Mainroad North Island, the 17th Street Bridge will be opening up at 7:45 p.m. to let two vessels exit the marina in the Courtenay River slough harbour.

The two are the “Takulli III” and “Irresistible”.

Motorists heading through the Valley at that time should expect a delay at the river crossing.
