Highland Grad Cruise underway today

COMOX, B.C – Drivers throughout Comox may experience an odd traffic delay today as graduates of Highland Secondary School will be cruising down to their graduation ceremony.

The event will get underway shortly after 2:30 p.m., when the grads meet their drivers and cars in the Highland Secondary parking lot, just off Pritchard Road in Comox.

A wide range of vehicles are expected to transport the graduates along a scenic route to their graduation ceremony at Filberg Park.

The cruise itself will begin around 3:30 p.m, and follow a route that includes Lazo Road, Knight Road, Military Row, Ryan Road, Crown Isle Drive, Lerwick Road, Anderton Road and Comox Avenue.

The cruise will also take a drive through Marina Park for the participants to view the cars and fellow grads.

They should start arriving at Filberg Park at approximately 4:30 p.m.

Minor inconveniences in traffic may occur to the public during this time.
