Strathcona Park Wilderness Centre ready for summer

CAMPBELL RIVER, B.C – The Strathcona Wilderness Institute has opened the Wilderness Centre for the summer season.

The center features programs that include nature walks, hikes with experts naturalists, and even and guided tours on weekends in July, August and September.

The first guided hike is set for the end of the month around Battleship Lake/Helen Mackenzie loop.

The Strathcona Wilderness Institute works through a cooperative agreement with BC Parks at two locations in Strathcona Park – the Wilderness Centre at Paradise Meadows and the Buttle Lake Information Hut – offering a range of programs and publications for visitors to the Park.
