Gas line break in Courtenay neighbourhood

COURTENAY, B.C – Courtenay fire crews responded to a gas line rupture this afternoon.

A neighbour reported that a company was putting down some cables in the area and hit a gas line.

The line reportedly ruptured between two houses near McLauchlin Drive and Dingwall Road.

The gas has been shut off in the area.
