Overnight roadwork this week

COURTENAY, B.C – The City of Courtenay will be working on Lerwick Road overnight this week.

Crews will be adding another layer of asphalt to the road.

Traffic on Lerwick between Ryan Road and Mission Road will be restricted, but access to the hospital will remain open at all times.

As part of the Lerwick Road improvement project, a new pedestrian-controlled crosswalk and road markings will also be added once paving is complete.

Work will take place overnight from 7:00pm to approximately 6:00am, and is weather dependent.

The city is asking drivers to respect traffic control personnel and drive carefully around crews.
