Comox Valley Community Foundation names new Executive Director

The Comox Valley Community Foundation as a new Executive Director. It’s Susan Auchterlonie.

The foundation says she has an extensive background in fundraising and communications, most recently working with ZINC Strategies as a Senior Communications Consultant and prior to that, as Executive Director of the North Island College Foundation. A long-time resident of the Comox Valley with deep roots, born in Cumberland and a graduate of G.P. Vanier Secondary School, Susan is very thankful for the opportunity to continue to serve this wonderful community.

“We couldn’t be more pleased with this appointment,” said Matt Beckett, President of the Comox Valley Community Foundation. “Susan brings a wealth of experience to the position and the Board looks forward to working with her as we grow the Comox Valley Community Foundation to further benefit our community.”

The Comox Valley Community Foundation is a charitable organization that works with the community to create endowment funds for grants and scholarships.

“I am very honoured by this appointment. The Board has set a positive and inclusive agenda in its mission to enrich the quality of life of Comox Valley residents,” said Auchterlonie. “I am looking forward to working in collaboration and partnership with our donors, fund holders, agencies and local charitable organizations to address community needs.”
