Memorial bike ride taking place for Cumberland biker

A memorial bike ride is happening tomorrow night in honour of a mountain biker who died last week.

Jerry Meyers was found deceased on the Blockhead trail near Cumberland on July 9th.

Efforts to save him by both riders and emergency personnel were unsuccessful.

The memorial bike ride will start at the Cumberland Recreation parking lot at 6:00pm.

Those taking part will then bike up the Blockhead Trail. A moment of silence will take place before the group returns to the parking lot.

The group’s Facebook event says the ride is open to everyone.

More information on the memorial ride can be found here.
