Comox Road Marking Program starts this week

Comox is reminding residents that the annual Road Marking Program has started, and it could cause some traffic delays.

Town staff will be painting crosswalks and stop bars over the next couple of weeks.

Crews will be installing road markings at intersections along Comox Avenue during the evening and overnight hours.

The town is reminding residents that it is not responsible for paint damage claims if you cross wet paint lines.

It does say however that if your vehicle gets splattered with paint, to go to a car wash as soon as possible.

If the paint does not wash off, it says to spray the affected area with WD-40 and allow it to dry for 2 hours, before re-washing the area.

If you have any questions or comments, contact the Public Works office at 250-339-5410.
