Cumberland putting together childcare strategy

The Village of Cumberland is developing a childcare plan.

Using provincial funding, the village hired Queenswood Consulting Group to develop a childcare inventory and space creation plan.

The plan is to create new childcare spaces and improve access to affordable, quality childcare in the village.

The village says that the goal is to help support the healthy development of children while providing relief to working parents.

Anyone who needs or provides childcare in Cumberland was invited to a pair of community discussions yesterday at the playground at Village Park.

Those who couldn’t make it but want to get in touch with the consultants can contact the village through email at [email protected] or on Facebook at fb.me/Cumberland.childcare.
