Cumberland closures set for Wild music festival

The hills of Cumberland are going to be alive with wild music this weekend.

And with the Cumberland Wild music festival taking over the village, there are going to be some road closures.

To accommodate the festival, road and park closures are taking place from 5:00pm today to Monday, Aug. 19 at noon.

The playing field area, Colliery trail behind the dog park, and parking area near the BMX track of Village Park will be closed

Sixth Street from Dunsmuir Avenue to Keswick Avenue will also be closed.

There will be parking restrictions on Dunsmuir Avenue in front of the Village Park playground.

And vehicle access will be limited to the playground, tennis courts, basketball court, off-leash dog park, skateboard park, and jump park.

The event has received exemptions from the Noise Bylaw from noon Saturday to 1:00am Sunday and from noon to midnight on Sunday.
