Road repaving expected to start next week

If you live near the Comox Community Center, you might see some delays starting next week.

The city says it plans to repave the road along Linshart Avenue which includes Cougar Crescent and Merino Place.

It says a separate section of the road along Linden Avenue will also be worked on during that time.

The work is expected to start on Monday and continue until September 4th, just in time for the 2019 school year.

Local residents will experience delays and single lane alternating traffic Monday to Friday between 7:00am and 7:00pm.

Non-local traffic, pedestrians and cyclists are encouraged to use alternate routes.

The city reminds drivers to slow down and use caution in the work area.

All inquiries on the work are asked to be sent to Public Works Superintendent Craig Perry by calling 250-339-5410 or emailing [email protected].
