Stage 3 water restrictions are in effect for the Comox Valley Water System starting tomorrow.
BC Hydro will start draining its penstock that day. That means the CVRD is going to have to use its emergency back-up pump station to draw water from the Puntledge River.
During Stage 3, residential lawn and garden watering with a sprinkler is not permitted at any time.
Watering of trees, shrubs, flowers, and vegetables on any day between the hours of 6:00am and 8:00am and 8:00pm to 10:00pm is permitted only if done by hand-held container, a hand-held hose equipped with an automatic shut-off nozzle, or by micro or drip irrigation.

The Stage 3 water restrictions will be in place until September 27th.
