Frontline Resource Fair to help with homelessness

The Comox Valley’s Ad Hoc Emergency Response Organization is hosting a fair this month to talk about and address homelessness.

The fair will bring together many different frontline agencies that serve individuals who are homeless, at risk of homelessness and/or living in extreme poverty.

It’s also open to those who are worried about someone they know but have not connected them to local resources.

The Comox Valley’s Ad Hoc Emergency Response Organization (AHERO) says it’s eager to share the community’s frontline services with you, your friend or relative.

Admission to the event is free and attendees will have the opportunity to have face-to-face conversations with representatives.

Some of those representatives include the Community Health Network and Coalition to End Homelessness, Canada Revenue Agency, Head Injury Society, Sasamans Society, Transition Society, Vancouver Island Crisis Society, Ministry of Social Development and Poverty Reduction, Salvation Army, Seniors’ Support Society, Wachiay Friendship Society, Aids Vancouver Island, Comox Valley Volunteer Connector, and Work BC.

The Frontline Resource Fair offers valuable information for those who experience or could experience homelessness.

It will be held from 10:00am to 2:00pm on Wednesday, October 30th at the Lewis Centre in Courtenay.
