Comox Valley supporting 44th annual CVCDA children’s telethon

The Comox Valley is showing its support for the 44th annual Comox Valley Child Development Association children’s telethon this week.

The telethon is a free event for the whole family to enjoy through a range of live performances and activities while also being part of the fundraising spirit in the Comox Valley.

Each year the telethon raises money to help the overall operating costs of the CVCDA including the 13 different programs operating under their umbrella.

Multiple groups and organizations are doing what they can to support the telethon, which includes The Baynes Sound Lions Club.

The club will be taking part in its annual Wheelbarrow Walk to do its share for the event.

The Lions start their 32-kilometre trek at Fanny Bay and push a wheelbarrow all the way to the Telethon stage. There, the Baynes Sound Lions Club will present the profits they raised to the CVCDA contributing to the telethon totals for the day.

The telethon will be held at the Sid Williams Theatre on November 3rd and run from 12:00pm to 8:00pm.
