Comox hosting public hearing on cannabis accessories

Comox is looking at a zoning amendment that would allow accessories to be sold in recreational pot stores.

The town is hosting a public hearing this Wednesday inside council chambers.

The focus will be on a Comox Zoning Amendment Bylaw 1929, which amends the definition of Recreational Cannabis Retail Store, to permit the sale of cannabis accessories in addition to cannabis.

The public hearing gets underway at 6:30pm.

If you believe your property is affected by a proposed bylaw, you’ll be given a chance to be heard in person.

The town is home to two recreational cannabis stores: City Cannabis at the Comox Mall, and Coast Range Cannabis on Church Street.

There is also a government store in the Superstore shopping centre in Courtenay.
