Comox hosting open house on new building standards

The Town of Comox wants to hear from you about the BC Energy Step Code

You’re invited to an information meeting on Thursday, Nov. 28 at the Comox Community Centre.

Developers, contractors, and design professionals are invited to attend from 2:00pm to 4:00pm, and then the doors open to the public for an open house from 4:00pm to 6:00pm.

The town is looking at implementing this standard within Comox as it looks to cut down on greenhouse gas emissions. 

At the meeting, you’ll be provided with information about the BC Energy Step Code and invited to provide feedback on how the proposed changes will affect you.

If you cannot attend the meeting or open house, you can get more information on the Town’s website to complete the feedback form

Builders and residents are being invited to add their feedback about these potential new green building standards. 

Mayor Russ Arnott says he wants to hear from the development community and the public to let the town know how you feel about the planned regulations.
