Celebrate National Child Day this week in Campbell River

The City of Campbell River is celebrating National Child Day this week.

Lots of events are planned for this Friday at the Community Centre.

To help get parents and kids out to those activities bus services this Friday won’t cost a penny.

Recreation Programmer Kara Shirley says National Child Day helps promote kids to get out and have fun.

“National Child Day events we encourage play, creativity, imagination and culture with activities such as make it and take it stations, play-doh centre, music sessions, cardboard city and Family Place for a healthy child and community development,” said Shirley.

“These activities help strengthen bonds between children, families and members of the wider community while celebrating diversity among families and cultures.”

Activities will be taking place at the Campbell River Community Center this Friday from 9:30am to 12:30pm and everyone is encouraged to come out.

For more information on what will be happening this Friday visit the city of Campbell River Recreation Facebook Page.
