MARS Wildlife Rescue Centre gets X-ray machine

The Mountainaire Avian Rescue Society is getting an upgrade to help rehabilitate and rescue animals.

The centre in Merville was given a working X-ray machine and processors from Dr. Tom Van Dyck, at the Country Animal Hospital.

Because it is an older machine it still requires films to be developed and over the next few weeks, the center says it will be creating a darkroom environment in order to use this machine to develop radiographs.

MARS added that although the entirety of the X-ray equipment was donated, it still needs to raise money to get a mechanic in to set it up.

In order to cover the cost, MARS is looking for the public’s help.

If you would like to donate to the center to help the machine operational, visit their website.
