Courtenay Recreation introduces online registration feature

If you want to sign up for recreation programs, you will now be able to do so online.

The city is moving to new software in 2020 which will include online registration.

You will be able to register for programs and activities starting Monday, March 2nd, on the first day of Spring program registration.

You will be able to set up an online account well before that, however.

Manager of Recreation Programming, Kathy Collins says the city is hoping for a smooth and easy transition to the new system.

“We’re very excited about this new software, we’ve been working really hard on getting everything set up for a smooth transition,” said Collins.

“The more people who create their accounts in advance, the faster it will be on registration day for everyone to get into their favourite Courtenay Rec programs.”

Online accounts can be created at www.courtenay.ca/reconline or by visiting the Lewis or Filberg Centre offices.

As an added incentive, anyone who creates an account will have the chance to win a $50 Courtenay Recreation gift certificate. The first prize draw is December 17th and draws take place every two weeks until February 18th.

For more information call the Courtenay Recreation Lewis Centre at 250-338-5371 or Filberg Centre at 250-338-1000.
