The Powell River Kings split their weekend series with the Alberni Valley Bulldogs!

On Friday (February 27), Jacob Pritchard picked up his 4th hat-trick of the season and the Kings picked up the 8-2 win.

Brett Magnus stopped 31 pucks for his 24th win of the season.

Stephen Hiff also scored in the victory. It was his first goal since returning from injury, and his 10th of the season.

A day later, the Kings lost 3-1 with Jeremy Leclerc scoring the lone goal.

Stefan Wornig started his first game since mid-January and took the loss in a 31-save performance.

The Kings now turn their attention to playoffs, starting Tuesday in Victoria against the Grizzlies.

It’s the 3rd straight year the teams have met in the playoffs, with Victoria winning the last two series.
