CV Marine Rescue Society closer to new deal

You might have heard that the Comox Valley Marine Rescue Society was looking to renew their contract with the town of Comox.

Well now council’s approved of that, pending final adoption.

Comox Mayor Paul Ives says that the deal will see a renewal of their moorage rates for 2 boats, and marina rescue building rates for another 5-year term.

Ives says there’s been no moorage paid for the last number of years.

So how does this affect the town budget?

As mentioned, council will further discuss final plans on this before adopting the contract renewal during their next meeting.
