The CVRD will be moving its offices to Harmston Avenue starting December 20th.

The district says because the old location was flood-prone, had limited space, and expensive lease costs, a new regional office building was introduced as a strategic priority.

CVRD Board Chair Ketler says it’s an exciting time for the district.

“It’s very exciting to see the new office come to fruition. Many residents are not aware of the 99 services that the CVRD provides on a daily basis. By having the facility outside the floodplain and with a new post-disaster emergency operations centre, those essential services that so many residents require daily will be able to continue in times of need,” said Ketler.

An official opening celebration for the new location will be happening in the spring of next year.
