Last night, Port Alberni was the site of a sawmill fire.
At around 4 pm, the Western Forest Products Mill went up in flames.
Mayor Mike Ruttan says the 3-alarm fire was centered on the head rig of the mill.
Crews eventually put out the blaze at around 10 pm.
Thankfully, no one was injured but one firefighter was taken to hospital with exhaustion.
The investigation into what caused the fire is ongoing.
