A call for a water filtration system in the Comox Valley from North Island Medical Health Officer Doctor Charmaine Enns, at a recent presentation to the CVRD water committee.
Doctor Enns says this winter’s lengthy boil water advisory involved sustained and elevated turbidity.
Recent projections peg the cost of a water filtration system at anywhere between 50 and 70-million dollars, but Enns says there are costs involved when it comes to providing good reliable water.
So the bottom line from Doctor Enns, a safe and consistent supply of water doesn’t come cheap…
