Break and enter suspect caught by police

A man is facing several charges in connection to a break-and-enter in Courtenay.

On Dec. 4 at about 6:20 a.m., the RCMP was called to the 300-block of 1st St.

Someone had allegedly entered the residence through an unlocked door and stole several items before leaving on foot. 

RCMP officers went to the area and arrested a man after finding him inside a shed at another nearby home. 

A subsequent investigation by the Comox Valley RCMP Street Crimes Unit led to the recovery of four guns and additional property which was reported
stolen.

Clifford Clayton is facing charges of break and enter, possession of stolen property, and possession of a firearm while prohibited.
