Power outages in Comox Valley, Campbell River

A few hundred customers are still without power in the Comox Valley and Campbell River.

BC Hydro says crews are working to get the damage caused by yesterday’s winter storm repaired.

Courtenay was one of the hardest hit areas on the islands, with around 4,000 customers with no power earlier this morning.

Across the entire island last night, at the peak of the damage, 30,000 customers were left in the dark.

There’s no ETA yet on when the power will be restored.
