Comox’s Darcy Sharpe wins gold at X-Games

Comox native Darcy Sharpe has won a gold medal at the X-Games in Aspen.

The 23-year-old competed in two events, Snowboard Slopestyle and Big Air.

Although he only managed to place in 8th for the Big Air event, his fourth and final run during the Slopestyle jumped him up to the first place spot.

It’s only his second podium finish since he started competing in the games back in 2016, and his first-ever gold medal as he finished second in 2018 for the same event.
