The draft is based on values found early in the planning process. When complete, Plan20-25 will determine NIC’s priorities and goals for the next five years. 1,500 students, employees and community members responded to the college’s first-ever community-wide survey over the past year. Feedback received helped to develop the draft. It was based on current mission, vision, values and strategic priorities, and met with community partners in Campbell River, the Comox Valley, Port Hardy and Port Alberni at four Regional Community Forums. “The energy put into this process so far is impressive and I want to thank the entire community for their contributions and insight,” says NIC President John Bowman. The draft sets out new and revised mission and vision statements that detail college-wide goals. It also provides direction for annual planning and operations. A final version of Plan20-25 is expected before May of this year. To provide your feedback on the current draft, NIC is inviting you to take part in an online survey. It’s open until Mar. 13th.
