All-female comedy show raising money for the Comox Valley Transition Society

An all-female comedy cast is coming to Cumberland to raise money for the Comox Valley Transition Society and for International Women’s Day.

The March 7th fundraiser will feature Jane Stanton, Katie-Ellen Humpheries, Sophia Johnson and other special guests at the Cumberland Hotel.

The goal of the event is to raise $1,000 for the CVTS.

Erin Calder is one of the comedians taking part and says the show is doing everything it can to help the transition society.

“Tickets are $20 and half of your ticket price goes to the Comox Valley Transition Society and we’re going to have 50/50 as well.”

“We’re accepting product donations as well. They’re looking for shampoo, condition, toothpaste and toothbrushes as well they said if someone wants to donate twin sheet sets they are taking those as well.”

She says the outstanding lineup is something you don’t want to miss out on.

“This is the highest calibre comedy show that I’ve put on so far. I got super lucky to reach out to these ladies who are world-class comedians.”

Tickets for the Ladies of Leisure Comedy show will be $20 and a donation jar for the transition society will be set up at the Cumberland Hotel as well.

The show gets underway March 7th at 7:30pm.
