Cumberland Fire Rescue receives new fire truck

Crews from the Cumberland Fire Department were excited to see a new tool at their disposal.

Yesterday a brand new fire truck was driven into its station.

Truck #1 was driven down Dunsmuir and into the hall by long time member Len Banks, who has served with the department for 50 years.

Crews spent a while looking at all the tools and equipment on the truck as well as the new custom storage compartments, hoses, gauges and controls.

They also noticed that it fit into the hall with just a few inches to spare.

The truck is the newest addition to join the Cumberland Fire Rescue as a new fire hall to hold the truck and other equipment is in the works.
