Coronavirus concerns are behind yet another cancellation.
Due to health concerns for students, staff and guests, the 2020 Comox Firefighter Youth Camp is not taking place.
The 11th annual four day, three-night camp was supposed to host close to 30 high school students.

Comox Fire Chief Gord Schreiner said pulling the plug was a very difficult decision.
“But I believe it is the right thing to do,” he added.
Schreiner said the format of our camp does not easily allow them to limit “social distancing” as participants would be working very closely together for long periods of time and sharing many meals together.
“We will continue to look for other opportunities to work with the youth in our community in the future,” Schreiner said.
