Campbell River Storm, VIJHL cancel remaining games

BC Hockey is taking preventive measures against COVID-19.

It’s suspended all remaining organized games, which includes the VIJHL and the Campbell River Storm.

This in response to ongoing developments with the coronavirus.

“While we appreciate the impact this has on every team affected, we must and have placed the health of everyone as our top priority,” the Storm says in a statement.

The team is thanking all fans, corporate sponsors, the Strathcona Regional District and the city for the support received.

It adds that an announcement will be made should anything change.
