School District 71 has a message for parents and students at home during this pandemic.
In a letter to families, Superintendent Tom Demeo wished parents and families all the best during these challenging times.
He laid out the responses by the Ministry of Education, like suspending face-to-face instruction in all schools in British Columbia, including in the Comox Valley.
The districts are providing ongoing learning opportunities for students and they are expected to support families of essential service workers.
All teachers will be working from home in the coming week.
Demeo says the teachers will be reaching out to their students and families by phone or email to begin a plan for their learning opportunities in this challenging time.
